Medicare Part A and Part B
For most people, Part A is automatic when you turn 65. It helps pay for inpatient care in a hospital and limited time at a skilled nursing facility following a hospital stay. Part A also pays for some home health and hospice care.
You will need to sign up for Part B through Social Security. It helps pay for services from doctors and other health care providers, outpatient care, home health care, durable medical equipment, and some preventive services.
